The Department of Environment and Conservation (DEC) in co-operation with the Department of Transport has closed Lake Jasper in D`Entrecasteaux National Park to powerboats. The removal of powerboats is in accordance with the Shannon and D`Entrecasteaux National Parks Management Plan which was released by the Minister for Environment in February 2012.
