These maps include data we provided to The Mammals of Australia (Reed Books, 1995, ed by Ron Strahan), but which were not included, as well as more recent data from Department of Conservation and Land Management and Western Australian Museum databases and files, data from the 1996 Action Plan for Australian Marsupials and Monotremes (1996, Wildlife Australia, Canberra), and information supplied to us by numerous field mammalogists.

The maps provided are the same size as those in The Mammals of Australia. They are not copyright, but we would welcome acknowledgment if they are used in publications or reports.

We welcome advice on errors and omissions.
