Location:6333
Introduction:
Established as a National Park in 2004, Mt.Lindesay forms the Eastern Gateway to the Walpole Wilderness area. It is most easily accessed from the town of Denmark, and is managed by the Frankland District of the Department of Environment and Conservation in Walpole.
About
The granite monadnock is the centre piece of the Mt.Lindesay National Park, which is a home to threatened ecological communities. Plants, animals and insects encountered only here in the world, are now threatened by climate change, recreation and feral animals.
Most of the National Park boundary adjoins private property in the north, east and south, with the Western boundary adjoining Mt.Roe National Park.
A foot bridge across the Denmark River and an information shelter will be constructed and installed during 2007-2008.
