Penguin Island is a truly unique place. Only 42 kilometres from the centre of Perth, it is home to a diverse array of wildlife and boasts breathtaking marine and coastal scenery.

Vasse-Wonnerup Wetlands

Introduction:

The Vasse-Wonnerup Wetlands system covers approximately 740 hectares, of which about 120 hectares is classified as a conservation park. It is primarily an estuarine system with artificially manipulated water levels that supports very high numbers of waterbirds. Up to 33,000 birds have been counted there, making it an ideal spot for birdwatchers.
