Reptiles as pets

As of March 7, 2003 it was possible for Western Australians to keep reptiles and amphibians as pets after a licence has been obtained.

This information has been provided by the Western Australian Society of Amateur Herpetologists (WASAH) and the Department of Environment and Conservation (DEC) to promote quality care for reptiles and frogs.

See the Approved Reptile Keeping List 2003 (below) to find out which reptiles you are allowed to keep as pets.
