Munda Biddi Trail

The Munda Biddi Trail is Western Australia's premier off-road cycle touring trail. Starting in Mundaring in the Perth Hills it currently meanders more than 600km through scenic forests and bushland to Manjimup. The Trail takes riders through stunning natural environments, via gentle terrain, connecting towns and other places of interest.

TRAIL PLANNING AND CONSTRUCTION TO ALBANY BROUGHT FORWARD

In 2009 The Department of Environment and Conservation in partnership with the Munda Biddi Trail Foundation received funding to complete the trail to Albany. The funds have been granted from the Royalties for Regions Regional Grant Scheme, administered through the Great Southern and South West Development Commissions.

The commitment of Royalties for Regions funding has brought forward the planning and construction of the final stage from Nannup to Albany with an expected completion date in 2012. Once completed, the Munda Biddi Trail will cover around 1000km from Mundaring to Albany, bringing with it a focus on low impact tourism with significant economic and social benefits to local towns.

84km of trail from Nannup to Manjimup, and Karta Burnu camp site were opened in July 2011.
