YANCHEP NATIONAL PARK
Seed collecting Collection of seeds from plants native to Yanchep National Park - includes extraction, labelling and storage. Visitor Services Officer (08)94050759

Wildlife Rehabilitators Wildlife Rehabilitators are prepared to rescue and rehabilitate sick, injured and orphaned fauna. Volunteers participate in marine turtle monitoring programs managed by local community group Conservation Volunteers Australia. Programs operate at Cable Beach, Eco Beach and further south at 80 Mile Beach. Conservation and research includes turtle tagging, nest recording, marine debris surveys and volunteer training. Goldfields Reserve Management
Volunteers can help staff in the field to conduct inspections and help with minor maintenance. Please note this project will run on an irregular basis when volunteers are available. This project includes all DEC lands within the Goldfields Region and therefore volunteer timeframes can range from a few hours and up to ten days, depending on the volunteer commitments and DEC's logistical capabilities. Keep Australia Beautiful
Help is required with marketing the litter prevention initiatives of Keep Australia Beautiful and promoting “do the right thing” in making a cleaner, healthier WA. Volunteers are required to hand out resources at public events and give presentations about Keep Australia Beautiful at schools and community organisations. T shirts are provided. Westwhales – dolphin and whale stranding
In the event of a mass stranding DEC calls for volunteers through the local media. Volunteers are directed to a control point to register. The event is managed by DEC staff. Specific details are provided at the time.
