Yanchep National Park interactive activities

Yanchep National Park offers a unique natural setting to enjoy a variety of activities which cater for a number of age groups, fitness abilities and interests.

Daily activities available to park visitors include tours through the enchanting underground world of Crystal Cave, a tour of the park’s pristine wetland Loch McNess, and an entertaining Aboriginal cultural experience and Didgeridoo and Dance held on weekends and public holidays.

Book tours at McNess House Visitor Centre at least 15 minutes before the activity. Book early to avoid disappointment.

School activity programs

Yanchep National Park is a fantastic venue for school excursions. Enjoy the koalas and abundant native wildlife in the park, or stroll through Boomerang Gorge to experience an ancient collapsed cave system complete with interpretive material to help understand the geology of the area.

Guided cave tours and an Aboriginal experience are available for school groups, starting at $6.50 per student. Student entry to Yanchep National Park is free when participating in an educational activity.

Crystal Cave Tour

Explore the mystical underground world of Crystal Cave. Discover how the limestone cave was formed, what features exist within the cave environment and uncover other exciting facts about caves.

Tours are available daily at 10.30am, 11.30am, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm.

Aboriginal Experience

Discover the ways of the Aboriginal people that live in Western Australia’s south west. Learn about the seasons used by the Nyoongar people, and how their knowledge was shared and passed on.

Find out how Nyoongar people constructed “Mia” shelters and used local plants and animals for food, medicine, clothing, shelter and tools.

The Aboriginal Experience is available Saturday, Sunday and public holidays at 2pm and 3pm, subject to availability.
