Extensive upgrades at Hamelin Bay

Print
More than $500,000 has been invested by DEC into upgrades at Hamelin Bay in Leeuwin Naturaliste National Park.

Improvements include refurbishing the boat ramp, building a rock wall to protect the coastal foredune and boat ramp from winter swells, constructing a new emergency beach access ramp and improving car/boat trailer parking.

A bypass road is also being built around the caravan park so that beach goers no longer have to drive through the caravan park, which will improve the ambience of the park and safety of park patrons.
