Potential Student Projects

The Science Division of the Department of Environment and Conservation (DEC) has a history of working in partnership with universities locally, nationally and internationally. Many of these mutually beneficial collaborations have been via student projects.

DEC provides support to students in a variety of ways, including:

  • in-kind (opportunities to work on DEC estate, assistance with field-based manipulative experiments, co-supervision, assistance from DEC operations staff, etc.)
  • financial (ARC Linkage Grants, student scholarships)

Science Division is currently engaged with more than 60, mostly PhD students, working on a range of natural resource management topics.
