Wildlife Management Programs for flora

What is a Wildlife Management Program (flora)?

A Wildlife Management Program for flora provides a brief description of the appearance, distribution, habitat and conservation status of a taxon (species, subspecies or variety) which has been declared as rare or is listed as priority flora (poorly known) for a particular area (eg DEC Region or District).  The plan includes recommendations for those research and management actions necessary to ensure the continued survival of that taxon.

Wildlife Management Programs are prepared for flora listed under the Western Australian Wildlife Conservation Act as Threatened flora and for poorly known flora (Priority Flora) listed by DEC.

Please note the following plans were current at the time of publishing. However the status of threatened flora can change regularly and it is therefore important to consult the most recent Declared Rare Flora list for an up-to-date list of the current threatened flora in WA, or FloraBase for priority flora.
Not all of the Wildlife Management Plans are available on-line, however they may be viewed at the relevant DEC offices.
