LANDSCOPE Expeditions are non-profit, self-supported study and research projects offered by LANDSCOPE, a quarterly magazine devoted to wildlife, conservation and environmental issues in Western Australia. The expeditions are offered in association with UWA Extension at The University of Western Australia. They help preserve endangered wildlife and their habitats and give people the chance to experience life at the frontier of discovery.

Whether you are a long-time participant in the program or are joining us for the first time, the LANDSCOPE Expeditions 2009 program provides you with the opportunity to explore and discover the nature of Western Australia alongside scientists from the Department of Environment and Conservation (DEC).

NOTE TO PARTICIPANTS – As part of measures taken by DEC to reduce expenditure and operate effectively at a time of financial restraint, the department has decided to end the LANDSCOPE Expeditions program once we have completed the expeditions being offered during 2009. This is being done so that the department can use its budget wisely and maintain a strong capacity for developing and delivering communication and education programs concerning biodiversity conservation and environmental protection throughout the State. The Seabirds and Shipwrecks expedition proposed for 4 – 10 January 2010, and advertised in the LANDSCOPE Expeditions brochure for 2009, has also been cancelled.
