The purpose of the Sustainability Code of Practice is to help agencies understand sustainability and outline agency obligations in respect of:
The Code sets out 13 commitments against these goals and 40 actions within the commitments. Premier's Circular 2004/14 requires agencies to give effect to the Code through the preparation of three-year Sustainability Action Plans. The Sustainability Action Plans relate to the period 2004-2007. The requirement to prepare a Sustainability Action Plan and comply with the Code are also reflected in CEO Performance Agreements with the Premier. |
